Pascha
Books
&
Gifts
first
opened
its
doors
in
November
1997
in
response
to
the
realization
that
Orthodox
Christianity
needed
a
greater
presence
in
our
society.
Its
founder,
Richard
J.
Shebib,
focuses
not
just
on
appealing
to
Orthodox
Christians.
This
store
is
for
people
of
all
religious
traditions
to
come
and
learn
about
the
Eastern
Christian
Tradition
and
have
the
ability
to
purchase
icons,
jewelry,
religious
supplies,
books
and
gifts
from
around
the
world.
The
store's
first
home
was
a
1000
sq.
ft.
facility
near
a
busy
intersection
in
Livonia,
giving
the
new
store
exposure
in
the
community.
During
the
first
three
years
of
operation,
Pascha
depended
mainly
on
in-store
sales.
In
additional
to
Orthodox
Christians
from
near
and
far,
local
people
of
other
faiths
also
visited
the
store,
learning
about
Orthodoxy
as
they
shopped.
Then,
the
store
took
to
cyberspace
with
the
launching
of
its
website
in
1999,
making
much
of
our
inventory
accessible
to
millions
of
people
via
the
internet.
In
2004,
the
store
was
forced
to
leave
its
original
location
and
found
a
temporary
home
at
a
nearby
parish.
In
2007,
Pascha
Books
&
Gifts
re-opened
at
its
new
(and
current)
home
in
the
facilities
of
Sacred
Heart
Byzantine
Catholic
Church,
just
two
doors
down
from
its
original
location.
What
makes
us
special
is
that
we
carry
items
from
dozens
of
suppliers
from
around
the
world.
Whether
you're
looking
for
icons,
jewelry,
gifts,
religious
supplies,
music
or
other
items
of
relevance
to
Orthodox
Christians
and
Eastern
Rite/Byzantine
Catholics,
we
have
a
large
variety
from
which
to
choose...and
we
keep
adding
to
it!
If
you
are
looking
for
a
particular
item
and
do
not
see
it
on
our
online
store,
feel
free
to
contact
us
and
we'll
see
if
we
can
get
it
for
you. |
